A Day In My Life #2

Hey guys!

How are you all doing?

In this post, I am sharing a day in my life “driving edition”.

I stepped out of my home after four months for work. Luckily weather was amazing that day. It was raining on and off. There were long stretches of paddy fields and greenery on my way. My answers:

1. What keeps you motivated to keep going during lockdown phase?

I try to stay productive as much as I can. I dedicate one hour for workout which is also the most important part of my day. Apart from this, I study, help in household chores, watch movies, play with my stray dogs.

2. How do you spend your ideal day ?

Getting up early in the morning. Having a healthy breakfast. Then going for a walk followed by workout. Studying. Limiting the use of social media and spending time in my backyard.

3. What would you want your legacy to be ?

Not any of the materialistic things but putting small efforts in making Earth a better place to live for our future generations.

4. 2 unknown facts about yourself ?

A. Whenever I type something, I murmur the exact words I type and sometimes the person sitting next to me hear my conversation.

B. I love stray dogs unconditionally.

5. How many books you read in a year ? Which genre ?

I can’t say how many but I like to read fiction, autobiographies and real life stories of not so famous people.

Chandrakanta Santati. It is a Hindi novel comprising of six books written by Devaki Nandan Khatri.

Doing something creative which I would love to do for the rest of my life.

9. How do you participate in saving the earth ?

I have made small changes in my lifestyle. I do not use AC the whole day and night. I only switch on the AC at night and that too for limited time. I have stopped buying unnecessary products. Earlier I used to buy random products for reviewing on my blog which I didn’t end up using. This is the reason why you guys don’t see many product reviews. There are many things which I do to contribute in saving our natural surroundings. I might do a separate post for this.

1. What is your most favorite character in movies/TV shows/video games? Arya Stark.

2. What are the 3 things you like about blogging the most? Creating. Capturing. Presenting.

3. Did your blog grow more or less as you’ve planned when you started blogging, or did it take a different route? In the beginning it did not grow as I had planned. Now it’s growing each day.

4. What historical period do you find the most fascinating and why? I find geological periods more fascinating than historical periods. Mesozoic era (the rise and fall of dinosaurs) caught my attention the most. Isn’t it fascinating to know about the evolution of dinosaurs?!

5. What is the best advice you’ve ever received? To stop caring about fake friends. #advice from my parents!

6. Imagine you’re about to launch a small business and have no limitations in funding, location, etc. What kind of business would you start? A cafe.

7. Would you rather go to a music concert or stand up comedy show and which performer would you choose? A music concert. I want to go to Tomorrow land.

8. Do you have unpopular opinions? If so, what are they? Yes many. Depends with whom I’m talking to. I don’t want to go into details here.

9. What’s your opinion about luxury industry? Are luxury brands worth the price? Luxury is a choice. A bag worth 100$ does the same work as a bag worth 10$.

10. Where do you get inspiration when writing for your blog? From everywhere. Observe everything that’s happening around you and try to be creative.

5 Ways To Stay Healthy While Stuck At Home

Hello guys!

How are you all doing?

We all are stuck at home because of COVID-19. It is important to focus on our physical and mental health in these tough times. In this post, I will be sharing five ways to stay healthy while stuck at home.

1. MAKE A TO-DO LIST: It is very important to stay organised and productive. I will advise that you should make a to-do list in the morning everyday and tick off all the completed tasks by the end of the day. It will not only keep you updated about all the things that you need to do but also keep you disciplined.

2. LIMIT THE USE OF SOCIAL MEDIA: Social media can be unhealthy for your growth as an individual. For example if you spend long hours on your favorite social media platform doing nothing it will affect your health in the long run. Limit the use of social media according to your daily routine. Write in your diary that you will not spend more than say 1 hour on social media.

3. STOP COMPARING: It is very easy to get distracted from others. But do not compare yourself from others. Comparison is the evil and your biggest enemy. At some point in our lives, we start comparing ourselves with others. For example he/she has 1 million followers, why can’t I have! Or she is a fashionista buying all the luxury products! Please do not COMPARE. We disrespect ourselves by comparing and want to fit in a certain image which we think is socially more acceptable. STOP COMPARING because you are special in your own way.

4. EARLY TO BED EARLY TO RISE: You must have heard this old proverb EARLY TO BED EARLY TO RISE MAKES A MAN HEALTHY, WEALTHY AND WISE. It is absolutely true. If you sleep early then you will automatically wake up early in the morning. Waking up early has many health benefits. You will feel energetic and relaxed the whole day. Plus you will have extra time for other activities.

5. FOLLOW A HEALTHY DIET: It is very important to follow a healthy diet plan. While we are stuck at home, we binge eat many times a day which is not good for health. You can incorporate small changes in your diet. For example if you want to eat a packet of nachos with your favorite carbonated drink. Do not eat from the packet itself, reduce the quantity and put that in a bowl. This will also satisfy your cravings and you will not binge eat the whole packet. Include more fruits and vegetables in your diet. Practice mindful eating.

So guys these are my five ways to stay healthy while stuck at home. Incorporate these habits in your daily routine and you will definitely see a major change in your life.

A Day In My Life #1

Hi guys..

How are you all?

I am trying out different things on my blog. So you will see different versions of ‘a day in my life’ posts. Today I’m gonna share a snippet of a day in my life.

So my day started with my usual routine. I had brunch planned with my childhood friend. We know each other since kindergarten. Isn’t it amazing knowing someone for so long! We went to a newly opened cafe near our place. The interior of the cafe was very beautifully done. I am sharing few pictures from my catch-up.

We sat there for an hour or so. We chatted about life, ate delicious food and clicked pictures.
