A Day In My Life #2

Hey guys!

How are you all doing?

In this post, I am sharing a day in my life “driving edition”.

I stepped out of my home after four months for work. Luckily weather was amazing that day. It was raining on and off. There were long stretches of paddy fields and greenery on my way. The view was so breathtaking. I clicked pictures and shot time lapse video of my drive. If you want to watch my time lapse drive, please subscribe to my YouTube Channel. I am also linking the video here.

I am sharing few pictures from that day.

Earlier I used to buy random products for reviewing on my blog which I didn’t end up using. This is the reason why you guys don’t see many product reviews. Real Meaning Of Rebel

“How is this name? The Glitter Rebel”, typing this as a text message on WhatsApp to a friend… And she replied, “You are not a rebel, anyways nice name”. I immediately replied, “No. I am”. This made me think what exactly is the meaning of rebel? Is it a synonym of aggression?

Every person is different in their own way. They have different choices, different opinions, different attributes which makes them different from others. If every person will start thinking the way you think, where would be the uniqueness to your personality? You don’t have to imitate others all the time. Why would you, just because they want to see you like them?

In my life, I have come across many people who have tried to let me down only because I don’t behave the way they do. I have a different personality, that too of an introvert.  Earlier I have a fear that people will judge me by the way I behave, the way I am… They still do, that’s what people like to do. Now that I am coming out of my comfort zone, everyone is judging me the way they used to. “What is she doing now? What is she gonna do in her life? Has she started a blog? Why are you so active on social media? Why do you buy so much of makeup?”

Keep doing things which give you happiness. Life is too short to think about others. Come out of your comfort zone and stop worrying about others judgement. Do whatever you like. Be it dancing in the middle of the rain, jumping from a cliff, writing your heart out,.. This is what I am doing now. This is what a rebel means to me..from being an introvert to an ambivert 🙂

It has a transparent lid on the front cover which is easy to locate shades if you have more than one in your vanity. It is available in 7 different shades. I got number 05. All the details are mentioned on the back of the product but I cannot understand as it is written in Thai language. It is a Thai product. It is an affordable highlighter. It is a dupe of Too Faced Sweethearts Blush and Makeup Revolution Blushing Hearts.

It is a very pigmented product and gives a smooth finish. It has very fine shimmers, not chunky ones. A little bit of product will go a long way. You can either swirl the colors together and apply or use one color for a highlight. You need to blend the product really well. This particular shade works well for all Indian skin tones.

Swatches of the product without foundation and compact.

Pros: Budget friendly. Pigmented. Gives smooth finish. Not at all chunky.

Cons: A little powdery application but for the price it is quite nice.

Will I repurchase this?

I like trying different products. I’ll repurchase this but in a different shade. 🙂

I hope this will help. 🙂

A Letter…

“LETTERS”… What is the first thing that comes to your mind after hearing this word letter? Well! For me letters were the source of communication in the past, they still are but now technology has taken over everything. This post is not about technology but ‘a letter’ which takes me back in the 80s.

On one fine evening, I was cleaning my Grandfather’s trunk and behind the books I found a letter. My grandfather is no more with me in person but deep down the heart, he is still present. As a child, I was always fascinated with his trunk. A responsible father of three sons, posted in Army Cantonment, Bhatinda, Punjab, he used to come home after months. Rest of my family lives in a small place in Delhi. There were no phones at that time. Letters were the only source of communication back then.

Being a literature grad, he had that magic in his hands which can add an extra edge to anything. He had the most fascinating handwriting. There was a cursive touch in his writing. His knowledge of Urdu adds a soft yet sophisticated touch to his writing and the way he talks. His English and Urdu books are still there in his trunk. I along with my brothers started reading and writing with him.

Grandparents are a blessing. They are the most loving humans. They love you unconditionally without asking anything in return.. 🙂

Dear Grandfather,

“I love you and wherever you are today, I know you are spreading happiness there too.”
